"Tina Fey's 2004 original Mean Girls gets a musical makeover and it's good. Angourie Rice is the new Lindsay Lohan and the new movie gets a little better every time somebody starts singing. I mean it has Auli'i Carvalho for Pete's sake. Funny at times and glittery at others with perfectly peppered with fantastic music, this show can put you in the headspace of teenage girls. Friendship, stereotypical cliques in a college setting, great teachers, minority stats and being yourself are some of the themes here. But, the music is just fantastic. An entertaining movie with quirky weirdos."
