"A fatuously trite and bromidic ballad that felt like an elegy being recited at my funeral. A movie that doesn't know why it exists. Tonally confusing and all over the place in terms of themes. Enough with the overusing of star-crossed lovers from class difference turning into mortal enemies. It has long overstayed its welcome. Except for Viola Davis, nothing is here to be worth the taking. Terrible."
