"Just another typical plain day for Shudder. I never thought I would appreciate the surrounding greenery and foliage, sunrise and sunset on the horizon as well as howling breeze, birds chirping and insects trilling and screeching in the background more than the tracking shots following Jason, excuse me Johnny about to slash some damsel teenagers. Unconventional voyeuristic camera placements with weird jarring yet unsettling static wide-angled long shots. But, maybe the most shocking aspect here is how ironically funny it is at several places despite the grotesque violence."
