Speed
"The Princess Bride of the car racing genre. It's for all the early days of video game era nerds. F-Zero, CTR, Wipeout. Deliberately and proudly fun, campy, corny and cartoonish but in a cool beans badass Scott Pilgrim vs. The World sort of way with sick ass character names. The Wachowskis did a phenomenal job casting Susan Sarandon and John Goodman as the parents and most importantly Commander Lewis as the slimy villain granted a lesser degree to what he was two years ago. A family establishment stands its ground against an evil cancerous corporation. No Walmart no Amazon goes home with a smile in this one. What's there not to like!"
