Amanda Seyfried breathes fire in this TikTok-promoted famous Freida McFadden mystery thriller novel adaptation which is a little too familiar in mechanics and contrived with its plot. Which begs the much needed question- Do Hollywood studios now find themselves at ease with just adapting every Colleen Hoover style authors’ works and how many of them are gonna starr Brandon Sklenar?
I liked that the story has a necessary resolution up to the satisfaction level of us viewers with a searing white hot feminine rage delivering the catharsis at the end, but after a while the intrigue fades away and all the pieces start to fall into place.
