"I can't believe they tried to pass the torch from Sigourney to Winona and it backfired in such a spectacular way. If the Alien 3 debacle was a makeover of the Alien series with more of a Terminator touch, then this part succumbed to Godzilla, Jurassic Park, Blade Runner, Predator and who knows what other cocktail mixing of franchise treatment. Losing all the original features of Alien as well as Aliens. It's mortifying to watch how gradually with each sequel since the first sequel, the sets, the tech, the Xenomorphs and even the characters got more and more fake and superfluous. It's almost like a prank on us while being inside the imaginative sets of Scott and Cameron."
