"Brad Pitt plays Maverick on asphalt. A fully turbocharged gasoline-soaked thrill of a race. Kosinski does a partial 180 on the whole- "It's not the plane, it's the pilot", maybe because this time, it's the circuits and it's almost always about the car. F1 doesn't exactly have the storytelling and character building aspects of Rush or Ford v Ferrari but it has technical as well as technological superiority and it shows Pitt with a panache.
