Ryan Gosling Is Marvel’s New Ghost Rider — Shawn Levy to Direct 2028 Film

Marvel Studios pulled a big one at San Diego Comic-Con 2026: Ryan Gosling is officially the MCU’s new Ghost Rider, with Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine) directing and a 2028 release locked. Gosling, who is already teaming with Levy on Star Wars: Starfighter, called it “a character I’ve wanted to play for a very long time.”

Our take

Alakazam!!! The Fall Guy is the new Ghost Rider. If Gosling sticks to this fresh routine of IP franchise studio universes styled movie selection, the Oscars will move further and farther away from his fingers.

Also director would be Shawn Levy. I mean, they couldn't find anyone else more CGI-generic than that guy!!!
