What's Ben Wheatley been doing lately! He should go back to his usual routine of weird cults and doomsday stories."

Dhurandhar The Revenge
"Buffing the shiny teeth with crimson blood, the sequel of Dhurandhar forgets to sharpen them for the same biting grab for which its predecessor got famous in the first place. Continuing the power grab through the savagery, The Revenge displays opulence that comes part and parcel with exporting terror into India's heartland but it makes a case of placing the reigns in real-time in the hands of pawns and inconsequential patsies and overplays its hands by overestimating the real power Balochs hold in the political scales of Pakistan along with too much weightage on a absconding terrorist, all the while completely eclipsing the roles of the army, the religious figures and the US intelligence. I'm sorry to say this but with the ruggedness and grunge of Lyari gone, so were a whole lot of nuanced espionage strategy play once attached to the plot. This one was too far spread and not laser guided, hence got its hand caught inside the cookie jar. Began by taking a leaf off of Paan Singh Tomar and entered into Fanaa territory. Really unwieldy and all over the place. Rushed which is ironic since it was almost four hours long. Less weaving a tale and more checking off boxes all through a preplanned list. If it had a two and half an hour runtime with some essential cuts, it would have been a solid spy action thriller. Not this diet version of Telugu mass masala Punisher. P.S.- Arjun Rampal was outstanding."
DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story
"No such thing as a beta. This is some Karate Kid level shit right there. The most remarkable sports movie I have watched in years. A real Cinderella story with one of the greatest coaches in movie history. This is gonna leave a perpetual smile on my face for the rest of the month. Dodgeball doesn't hold back on its comedy and is very body neutral and about healthy masculinity, all at the same time."
Lethal Weapon 2
"Don't know what's more dramatically ironic; Elon Musk's father as the villain here in an 80s movie or Mel Gibson making fun of the Aryan race and their funding of an apartheid state. While the sequel feels like scattering everything everywhere, it's basically a funnier, more stunt work, explosively bombastic and erotically charged and thus ruined misfired version of Midnight Run which incidentally enough got released just two years before this. Although, a little bit of Joe Pesci makes everything fun."

"At par with "Mridhu Bhave Dhrida Kruthye" meaning-"Soft in Temperament, Firm in Action" which is the motto of Kerala Police, Writer-Director Shahi Kabir's Ronth starts as a psych evaluation of Dileesh Pothan, a cop who is at his wit's end, weathered by the daily battles of masculinity, anxiety, personal trauma traversing through a broken community at the fundamental level with religious, economic and caste fractures and his vacillating relationship as a mentor with a greenie played by Roshan Mathew who displays a fresh coat of conscience, forbearance and composure but everything eroding gradually overnight due to the constant exposure of distressing and high strung circumstances. Until, the whole thing becomes a reality check about the law enforcement's murky dispensation of truth and justice and a twist which flanked me so swiftly, abruptly and out of the blue that my mind went on overdrive for a minute due to the sudden curveball in the form of an unexpected and unbelievable link. The smooth pacing of Ronth, for most of its runtime is characteristic of its commentary about how repressive emotions due to the absence of systematic help woven into the service fester until Kabir steers it hard towards a turn nobody could see coming."
